Frequently
asked questions.
Answers about websites, requests, credits, and publisher earnings.
See how Linkpool worksIs Linkpool free to join?
Yes. There is no monthly subscription. Agencies add prepaid credits to request placements. Publishers receive 80% of the placement price under the default terms, with a 20% platform commission.
Can I exchange links or spend publisher earnings as credits?
Linkpool uses paid placements. Agency credits and publisher earnings are separate balances; publishing a link does not automatically give you credits to spend on another website.
What can I do with Linkpool?
Find relevant articles for your clients and request paid link placements. If you own a website, you can offer placements in your existing articles and earn from the requests you approve.
Do I need a blog to use Linkpool?
Agencies can create campaigns without publishing their own blog. Publishers need a website they own, existing articles, and an owned Google Search Console property. One account can support both roles.
How are websites verified?
Publishers connect read-only Search Console access. Linkpool checks that their Google account owns a property covering the submitted website.
How is payment held and released?
Agencies fund requests with prepaid credits: 1 credit equals US$1. Linkpool holds the placement amount while the publisher completes and submits the work. Once Linkpool confirms the public article contains the target link, the publisher’s share is released to their earnings balance. Bank payouts are a separate step.
How is a placement priced?
Recommendations use website clicks, article clicks, relevance, and the publisher’s minimum price. You see the price before requesting. Publishers may counter an offer.
What if a request is declined or the link fails verification?
Publishers can decline an offer, returning held funds to the agency’s available balance. If submitted work fails the link check, payment stays held while the publisher corrects the link and resubmits.
Are my marketplace details public?
Your campaign briefs, offers, and private opportunity pages require an authorized account. They are excluded from search indexing. Articles on your own public website remain public.
How long should a placement stay live?
The default expected duration is 12 months. Each request records its agreed duration, and the platform checks the link during that period. Removed placements can be reported for review.
What content is restricted?
Gambling, adult content, crypto, loans, and supplements are restricted under the default marketplace rules. Publishers can also exclude categories or individual articles.
Do I need an Ahrefs or Semrush subscription?
No. You can compare the Google Search Console click data available in Linkpool without either subscription.
